1Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and KHOJO Technologies ("KHOJO," "we," "us," "our") governing your access to and use of the KHOJO mobile application and website (the "Platform").

By creating an account, browsing, or placing an order on KHOJO, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2Eligibility

To use KHOJO, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
• Not be barred from using the Platform under applicable law
• Provide accurate and complete registration information

3Account Registration

You must register using a valid mobile number verified via OTP, or sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account and OTP codes
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach
• Keeping your profile information (name, address, contact number) accurate and up to date

4Services Offered

KHOJO acts as a local marketplace and technology platform connecting users with nearby independent stores and service providers, including but not limited to:

• Mobile recharge and bill payment services
• Grocery, vegetable, fruit, dairy, and bakery item ordering
• Local chicken and fish shop ordering
• Medicine ordering and delivery
• Wallet, cashback, and coupon management

KHOJO facilitates transactions between you and third-party local sellers but does not itself manufacture, stock, or directly sell physical products unless explicitly stated.

5Orders & Mobile Recharge

When you place an order or initiate a recharge through KHOJO:

• You authorize KHOJO and its partner stores/operators to process the transaction
• Mobile recharges are processed via third-party telecom gateways; KHOJO is not responsible for delays caused by operator-side issues
• Product availability, freshness, and quality for items like chicken, fish, vegetables, and groceries are the responsibility of the listing store, though KHOJO sets baseline quality guidelines for partners
• Order confirmation does not guarantee delivery within an exact time; estimated times are indicative

6Pricing & Payments

All prices displayed are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Prices for fresh produce, meat, and fish may vary based on market rates and are subject to change without prior notice.

• Payments can be made via UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking, or KHOJO Wallet
• Delivery charges, if any, are displayed at checkout before order confirmation
• KHOJO reserves the right to cancel orders in case of pricing errors or payment failures

7KHOJO Wallet & Cashback

The KHOJO Wallet is a closed-loop, non-transferable digital wallet usable only within the Platform.

• Wallet balance and cashback have no cash withdrawal value except where a withdrawal feature is explicitly enabled
• Cashback earned from recharges or orders is credited as per the offer terms specified at the time of the transaction
• KHOJO reserves the right to reverse wallet credits obtained through fraud, abuse, or technical error
• Unused wallet balance may be subject to expiry as communicated in-app

8Coupons & Offers

Coupons, discount codes, and promotional offers are subject to specific terms, minimum order values, and validity periods displayed at the time of redemption.

• Coupons cannot be combined unless explicitly stated
• KHOJO reserves the right to modify, suspend, or withdraw any offer at its discretion
• Misuse of coupons (including bulk account creation to claim first-order offers) may result in order cancellation or account suspension

9Delivery

Delivery is carried out by KHOJO's logistics partners or store-affiliated delivery personnel.

• You must provide an accurate, complete delivery address and be reasonably available to receive the order
• Delivery time estimates shown in the app are approximate and may vary due to weather, traffic, or store readiness
• For perishable items (chicken, fish, dairy, vegetables), please inspect goods at the time of delivery and report any quality issues immediately through the app

10Cancellations & Refunds

• Orders can typically be cancelled free of charge before they are packed/confirmed by the store
• Once an order is out for delivery, cancellation may not be possible, particularly for perishable goods
• Refunds for valid cancellations or quality issues are processed to the original payment method or KHOJO Wallet within 5–7 business days
• Mobile recharge transactions, once successfully processed by the operator, are generally non-refundable except in case of verified technical failure

11Local Stores & Sellers

KHOJO onboards local stores and sellers as independent third parties. KHOJO verifies basic business details but does not guarantee the accuracy of every listing, and is not the manufacturer or seller of record for marketplace products unless explicitly stated.

Sellers are responsible for product quality, accurate pricing, and timely order preparation. Disputes regarding product quality should first be raised in-app; KHOJO will mediate in good faith between users and sellers.

12User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information during registration or checkout
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or interfere with the Platform's security
• Abuse wallet, cashback, or coupon systems through fraudulent means
• Harass, threaten, or abuse delivery partners, sellers, or KHOJO support staff
• Resell or commercially exploit KHOJO services without written authorization

Violation of these conditions may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.

13Intellectual Property

The KHOJO name, logo, app design, and all associated content (excluding seller-provided product listings) are the intellectual property of KHOJO Technologies. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

14Limitation of Liability

KHOJO provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• KHOJO is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform
• KHOJO is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of products listed by third-party sellers, beyond facilitating dispute resolution
• KHOJO's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific order or transaction in question
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free access to the Platform at all times

15Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KHOJO, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Platform, or infringement of any third-party rights.

16Termination

KHOJO reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to the Platform or other users. You may also close your account at any time via the Profile > Settings menu.

17Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of KHOJO shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, West Bengal, subject to applicable consumer protection regulations.

18Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email. Continued use of KHOJO after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
